How It Was Done -- Cover Gallery Page

The Covers page contains a gallery of the covers for all of the Great Desmond's writings. Creating that page requires a certain amount of expertise that the Great Desmond is willing to share.
  1. Log into the Picasa web albums here, not the redirect to the Google+ albums. Only the Picasa albums offer the options to create an embedded gallery slideshow.
  2. If they are not already there, upload the cover artwork into the generic album.
  3. Create a separate album: name it Covers or Gallery, your choice.
  4. Copy the album covers from the generic album to the cover artwork album. (Copying images does not count toward the maximum space allotment.)
  5. Open the cover artwork album. Click on the line in the sidebar that says "Link to this album".
  6. "Embed Slideshow" will appear in the sidebar. Clicking this causes a parameter box to appear. Select the desired parameters then copy the resulting slideshow code to the Clipboard.
  7. Go to the dashboard of your BlogSpot blog and select Pages.
  8. Create a new page and name it something like "Cover Artwork".
  9. Select the HTML tab and paste the slideshow code from the Clipboard into the page.
  10. Save and publish the page.
  11. Check the Layout to be sure that the pages are accessible: usually that means setting up the navigation bar near the top of the page.

That is all there is to it. The biggest problem was in getting to the Picasa dashboard instead of the Google+ album dashboard, as without the "noredirect" parameter the URL will always be redirected to the Google+ dashboard.
